Military Technology Issue 6/2011 – “UAS Systems Payloads”
“One of the most exciting advances achieved in EO technology in recent years has been the advent of inexpensive uncooled IR focal plane arrays (FPAs) using very small thermally sensitive structures or bolometers. The KTL-30 camera system developed by the Polish manufacturer Etronika, presented for the first time at IDET 2011 in Brno, Czech Republic, delivers high-resolution day/night imagery for improved situational awareness. At the core of the tiny camera system is an uncooled bolometric array, a 680×480 detector designed to meet the thoughest requirements of modern military and law enforcement operations.(…)”
